ALP-IX Moves Into the Hopfenpost

16 July 2008 | INGATE Team

The southern German Internet Exchange Point ALP-IX is moving into the Hopfenpost data center. This is great news for all INGATE customers.

What Is ALP-IX?

ALP-IX is a regional Internet Exchange Point (IXP) where internet providers and companies can exchange data traffic directly (peering). With its new location in the Hopfenpost, ALP-IX is now in immediate proximity to our infrastructure.

Benefits for INGATE Customers

  • Lower Latency: Direct data exchange with other ALP-IX participants without detours through upstream providers
  • Better Performance: Short paths for data traffic
  • Cost Savings: Peering can reduce transit costs
  • Redundancy: Additional path for data traffic

Peering Opportunities

For customers with their own IP address space and BGP routing, we offer the option to peer directly at ALP-IX. Contact us for details.

For questions about peering, please contact info@ingate.de.
