Do I get root access with a managed server?
Shell access is generally possible. For administrative purposes, we set up sudo permissions for you after consultation. We do not grant full root access in managed operation to ensure system integrity.
What are the advantages of a managed server over a root server?
A managed server is significantly more powerful and flexible than a web hosting account. At the same time, it requires no administrative effort or Linux knowledge on your part. Regular system and security updates, monitoring and installation of standard software are already included.
What is included in the managed service base price?
The base price includes regular system and security updates, permanent server monitoring, as well as installation and configuration of standard software.
Can the scope of services be individually customized?
Yes, the scope of services can be fully tailored to your individual requirements: automated backups, redundancy at different locations, standby servers, custom hardware, firewalling and much more.
Are hardware upgrades possible during the contract term?
