Cloud computing refers to the on-demand provision of IT resources such as compute power, storage and networking via the internet or a private connection. At INGATE, you receive these resources from German data centers — GDPR-compliant and without US dependencies.

In a public cloud, multiple customers share the underlying hardware infrastructure, while resources are strictly separated virtually. In a private cloud, you receive dedicated hardware exclusively for your organization. INGATE offers both options as well as hybrid cloud solutions that combine the best of both worlds.

Egress costs are fees that hyperscalers like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud charge for outbound data traffic. At INGATE, these costs do not apply — regardless of how much data you transfer. This ensures predictable costs and avoids unpleasant surprises on your invoice.

INGATE offers both hourly and monthly billing models. You configure your resources granularly in 1 GB and 1 core increments and only pay for what you actually use. This way you avoid the rigid instance sizes and oversized packages of the hyperscalers.

Yes, we support you in migrating your existing workloads. Thanks to our open-source foundation (KVM/Ceph), there is no vendor lock-in, and common VM formats can be imported. Our team accompanies you personally through the entire migration process.

Direct Connect is a direct, private network connection between your colocation hardware in the INGATE data center and the INGATE Cloud. This allows you to seamlessly extend your own hardware with cloud resources — with low latency and without routing through the public internet.

All data remains exclusively in German data centers. INGATE is an owner-managed German GmbH without US involvement, so the US Cloud Act does not apply. Our data centers are ISO 27001 certified and meet all GDPR requirements.

We guarantee a base availability of 99.5% with the Basic SLA. Through the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers, you can increase the availability guarantee up to 99.99% — including reduced response times down to 60 minutes and 24x7 emergency support with a personal Technical Account Manager.
