How often are failover tests performed?

The frequency is individually agreed with you. Standard is quarterly tests. For particularly critical systems, we also offer monthly tests.

What happens during a real failover?

During a real failover, the standby server takes over automatically. Our monitoring detects this immediately. We analyze the root cause, fix the problem and restore redundancy — including hardware replacement if necessary.

What is geo-redundancy?

With the geo-redundancy option, your two HA nodes are located in geographically separated data centers with at least 30 km distance. This protects against site-related outages such as natural disasters or large-scale power failures.

Can I book Managed HA for existing servers?

Yes, we can take over existing HA setups into managed operation. After analyzing the current configuration, we integrate your servers into our HA monitoring.

What are the advantages of Managed HA over a single managed server?

With Managed HA, you get two identical servers with automatic failover. In case of a hardware failure, the second node takes over seamlessly — your applications remain available. Additionally, we perform regular failover tests.

Which operating systems are supported?

All common distributions are available: Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, openSUSE, Gentoo, FreeBSD and Windows Server. Additionally, we can pre-install any operating system at no extra cost.

Is custom hardware configuration possible?

Yes, we can fundamentally configure any Dell system to your specifications. Our hardware consulting is included.
