What Sets Your Private Cloud Apart

Dedicated hardware, tailored configuration, and seamless interconnection — at enterprise level.

Dedicated Dell Hardware

As a Dell partner, we configure servers precisely to your requirements. CPU, RAM, storage, networking — every component is individually matched to your workloads. No off-the-shelf products.

Cloud Connect

Connect Cloud, Bare Metal, and Colocation into a single logical unit. One web interface for your entire infrastructure — seamlessly integrated via high-performance direct connections.

Full Isolation

Dedicated hardware, dedicated hypervisor, separate network — no shared resources, no noisy neighbors. Your data is physically and logically separated from other tenants.

Disaster Recovery

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most important questions about INGATE Private Cloud.

What exactly is an INGATE Private Cloud?
An INGATE Private Cloud is a fully dedicated cloud environment operated exclusively for your company. Unlike the public cloud, you share no hardware, no hypervisor, and no network with other customers. INGATE builds your Private Cloud on individually configured Dell servers and operates it in our ISO 27001-certified data centers. You get full control over your infrastructure — combined with the convenience of a managed service.
What is Cloud Connect and how does it work?
Cloud Connect is INGATE's platform for interconnecting your entire infrastructure. It links Private Cloud, bare-metal servers, and colocation hardware into a single logical unit that you manage through one web interface. All components communicate via secure, high-performance direct connections — as if they were in the same rack. This way you get the best of all worlds: cloud flexibility, bare-metal performance, and colocation control.
What hardware is used in the Private Cloud?
We build your Private Cloud on individually configured current-generation Dell servers. CPU, RAM, storage, and networking are tailored precisely to your requirements — from compact 3-node clusters to enterprise setups with dozens of nodes. As a Dell partner, we have direct access to the full portfolio and can deliver server configurations that go beyond standard off-the-shelf offerings.
How does the INGATE Private Cloud differ from hyperscaler offerings?
With hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, your workloads run on shared infrastructure under US law (CLOUD Act). With INGATE, you get dedicated hardware without noisy neighbors, full data sovereignty under German law, transparent pricing without egress fees, and a personal point of contact who knows your infrastructure. Additionally, you can seamlessly connect other INGATE products via Cloud Connect.
What types of companies is a Private Cloud suited for?
A Private Cloud is ideal for companies with elevated requirements for security, compliance, and performance: financial service providers and insurers with BaFin requirements, healthcare companies handling patient data, businesses with data-intensive workloads such as AI training or big data analytics, and organizations that need full control over their infrastructure — without the complexity of running their own data center.
What compliance requirements are met?
Our data centers are ISO 27001 certified and fully GDPR-compliant. INGATE is an owner-managed German company with no US affiliation — your data is not subject to the CLOUD Act. On request, we support you in implementing BSI baseline protection and industry-specific compliance requirements for regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and the public sector.
What does the process of setting up a Private Cloud look like?
The process begins with a personal consultation where we analyze your requirements for compute, storage, networking, and compliance. Based on this, our architects design a tailored solution, configure the Dell servers, and set up the entire infrastructure in our data center. After extensive testing, we hand over the environment — including documentation and training. The entire process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.
Can I connect my existing infrastructure?
Yes, via Cloud Connect you can seamlessly link your Private Cloud with existing bare-metal servers, colocation hardware, or other INGATE products. All components are managed as a single logical unit through one web interface. This lets you migrate step by step or build hybrid architectures without giving up existing investments.
What support does INGATE offer for the Private Cloud?
Every Private Cloud customer receives a personal technical contact who knows the infrastructure. No call center, no ticket ping-pong. On request, we handle the complete managed operation including monitoring, updates, backup, and capacity planning. For critical incidents, we are available around the clock.
How is the Private Cloud scaled?
Scaling is done by adding additional nodes to your cluster. Since each node is a full-fledged Dell server, you can expand compute and storage independently. Unlike public cloud models, you only pay for actually provisioned hardware — no hidden costs as traffic grows. Our team plans the expansion with you and implements it without disruption.
What are egress costs?
Egress costs are fees that cloud providers charge for outbound data traffic — that is, data leaving the data center toward the internet or other networks. Every API response, every download, every video stream, and every backup replication generates egress traffic. Most hyperscalers charge these costs per GB, which can quickly become a significant and hard-to-predict cost factor. Especially with data-intensive applications, these fees add up rapidly.
Does INGATE charge egress costs?
No. At INGATE, outbound data traffic is already included in the price — no per-GB fees, no hidden surcharges. This makes your costs fully predictable and transparent. Especially for data-intensive applications like CDN, streaming, large APIs, or backup replication, this results in a massive cost advantage over the major hyperscalers.
How high are egress costs with hyperscalers?
AWS charges approx. $0.09/GB (first 10 TB), Azure approx. $0.087/GB, and Google Cloud approx. $0.12/GB. A company transferring 10 TB per month pays around $900–1,200/month for outbound traffic alone. At 100 TB, it is already $8,000–9,000+/month. These costs are hard to predict since they depend on user behavior, API call volume, and traffic patterns — making TCO calculation difficult and frequently leading to unexpectedly high bills (so-called "bill shock"). At INGATE, traffic is included, making total costs fully predictable from day one.
