Critical Security Vulnerability in Joomla

A critical security vulnerability has been discovered in the Joomla content management system. All Joomla operators should update immediately.

The Problem

The vulnerability allows attackers to gain unauthorized access to the Joomla installation through manipulated requests. In the worst case, the attacker can take full control of the website.

Affected Versions

Multiple Joomla versions are affected. The Joomla team has released security updates.

Immediate Actions

  1. Update Joomla to the latest available version
  2. Check that all installed extensions are also up to date
  3. Review your log files for suspicious access attempts
  4. Change the administrator password
