Recently, many companies have been receiving faxes with hard-to-read contracts from unknown senders. We would like to expressly warn against signing such documents.
What is behind this?
The scheme is well known: Documents are sent by fax or mail that at first glance appear to be harmless updates or business directory entries. However, hidden in the fine print is a paid contract with a long term and high fees.
Our Recommendation
- Never sign documents from senders you do not know
- Read the fine print carefully before signing anything
- Research unknown senders on the internet
- When in doubt: Throw it away
