DENIC, the central registration authority for .de domains, is introducing new domain policies on October 23, 2009. As a result, numerous previously blocked domain names will be released for registration.
What Is Changing?
Previously, certain domain names were blocked, including one- and two-character domains as well as purely numeric domains. These restrictions are being lifted.
Landrush Phase
The so-called landrush phase begins on October 23. All registration requests received by that date will be processed simultaneously. If multiple requests are made for the same domain, a lottery will decide.
How Can You Participate?
If you would like to register one of the previously blocked domains, contact us well before October 23. We will submit your registration request to DENIC on time.
