Confixx under PHP 5.4

With the introduction of PHP 5.4, some Confixx installations are experiencing compatibility issues. We would like to inform affected customers about the background and possible solutions.

The Problem

PHP 5.4 has removed several deprecated functions that are still used by Confixx. This leads to error messages and functional limitations in the Confixx web interface.

Affected Functions

The function session_register() has been removed
The mysql_* functions are marked as deprecated
Some changes in error handling

Solutions

Short-Term

For managed server customers, we have provided a patch that fixes the most critical compatibility issues. The installation is carried out automatically by our technical team.

Long-Term

Since Confixx is no longer being developed, we recommend migrating to a current management software such as LiveConfig or Plesk. We are happy to assist you with the migration.
